CLEAR Summer Vacancy
The CLEAR project is looking to recruit a temporary project co-ordinator for their Time Together Mentoring scheme in Southampton. CLEAR is working in partnership on this project with TimeBank, an award winning national volunteering charity. The successful candidate will promote the integration of refugees by coordinating the Time Together mentoring project. This will involve being responsible for supporting refugees and volunteer mentors on the scheme, as well as raising awareness of the project. Applicants ahould have an interest in refugee issues and experience of supporting people within a mentoring, befriending or volunteer context. Excellent communication and computer skills will also be required, as well as effective planning skills and experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory organisations. This post requires experience of working in a multicultural environment.
This post is full time, funded until September 30 2008 and is based in central Southampton.
