Solent Credit Union (formerly Sanctuary Credit Union and Co-operators Credit Union) has been running for several years as a credit union covering Southampton. Anyone over the age of 16 who lives in Southampton can join.  There is a one off joining fee for all members.

• Solent Credit Union provides: -
• An easy way to build up savings with no minimum amount
• A secure place to save
• Small loans at a fixed rate of 1% per month (not dependant upon previous credit rating)

Credit Unions help their members save regularly and provide affordable loans. Any surplus of funds is paid to members as a dividend. Solent Credit Union is run and owned by the members, who work for the benefit of other members and the local community.

Solent Credit Union is regulated by the Financial Services Authority (No. 669c).
