Southampton Christian Network (SCN) is an informal network of Christian organisations and churches in the Southampton area united in the conviction that the good news of Jesus is for everyone. As individual followers of Jesus we desire to live in harmony with his teaching and serve him where we live and work. By working alongside one another, we believe we can better represent him to our city and community. You can see our Vision and Values here.

SCN started in 2006 although its roots can be traced back many years. It has arisen from a coming together of the Southampton Evangelical Alliance (SEA) and the Joshua Partnership, but represents the partnership of many Christian groups over half a century.

SCN is all about this incredibly good news – called the gospel. Our aims are the same as those expressed by Paul in the first chapter of his letter to the Philippians. He writes of being partners in the gospel (1:5), confirming (1:7), advancing (1:12) and defending it (1:16). We aim to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel (1:27) and contend as one man for the faith of the gospel (1:27).
